Wayne JoinerI don't care what he says he hasn't been here or played his butt off to get a 3 & out and then have your qt back give it right back to em. Let that happen a few times in 104 degree heat and then ask him. I still say Brandon Allen's our man he looks like he's having fun out there Blake and Henne look like they got gas or something.

Joshua LoveWhy hasn't Allen had a shot. What about extensive reps. How many times has he got a chance to throw to AR. I mean if he is never going to play, why did we use a draft pick on him. I guess just for fun. I mean one of our best defensive players was drafted in the 5th. Brady was drafted in the 6th. The only down fall i see for given allen a real chance is his size. He is the youngest option at QB and gives us hope for the future. Henne is a bridge to another unknown at best. I would like to see henne start with the ones next week and allen to get atleast a drive with them. Blake needs to sit and watch his future disapear next week. Go Jags!!!!!

Rob KelleyBortles needs to be wearing another team's jersey while he bites his tongue as he throws a pick six to the dismay of his new "fans". Henne needs to continue to be a professional backup while the Jags move forward with Allen at the helm. He's the only one with potential. Oh, and I'd trade Jason Myers for a sweaty jockstrap and a box full of second chance helmet hardware.

Jarvis DavisI think we've seen all there is to see from Bortles. As hard as a decision it is to make it needs to happen. He just doesn't have it. Look the first round picks in and after his draft class Carr, Bridgewater, Winston, Mariota these look like third and fourth year QBs respectively. None of them came into perfect situation but they came in took the lead and won games. All four of those guys have been to or close to the playoffs. The team losing isn't all on Bortles but the QB sets the tone of a team. He has all the physical talent but he can't lead and thats crucial. Look at every good QB he is leader on the field. Its not something you can just learn it's a quality you have it or you don't. That's one thing I liked about Brandon Allen the other day not the way he played but his attitude like "I'm in control" you can't teach that all the other stuff he can learn if given an opportunity.

Dave SouthernYes, we need to talk about the poor play of individual players, but the biggest difference between the Jags and contending teams is the overall attitude of the team. Against the Patriots, they looked like they had turned a corner, but against the Bucs, they looked like the lackluster, just going through the motions, low-energy doormats of old. What causes that? I believe lack of confidence in Bortles is a team-wide issue, and only he can fix that.

Paul Woodward IIIPeople stop with the Brandon Allen talk. He plays solid against 3 stringers give him more time to develop b4 you throw him In the fire. Alright Blake and Henne will be fighting out for the starting job. Blake has lost all his confidence and I think he is so scared to throw int's he's not playing loose. It's a very slippery slope. Henne looked great today, you can tell he is playing with confidence and looks like he wants that spot. As far as the defense I'm not too worried about giving up those pass yards. I mean you ain't gonna cover Evans and Djax with Boo boo the fool. Wait till we get Jalen, AJ and Ac back. What I am worried about was our pass rush and how we kept losing first down on defense. So many times the offense was 2 & 4 or or 2& 5. We giving up too many yard on first down which makes it hard to figure out what Tampa was going to do next play. Pass rush was terrible today it should have been better being that we was playing our starters there. However, as I stated our first down defense was terrible which gave Tampa a run pass option too much. Also, if I see one more holding penalty on special teams I'm going to go crazy! Stop stop stop! It's so annoying! Focus up! All in all Westbrook looked good today! He should be WR #4. He will be great to play if Lee or Hurns go down with injuries. Lastly, I don't know about y'all but I never liked safe bend don't break Todd Walsh. He plays so safe and we never create turnovers becuz of it. I was hoping we got risky Rex Ryan as our DC. However, I will cut him some slack and wait till he gets his full roster before I start to roast him. All in all I don't know who is going to read this lol. Hopefully, somebody.... I just needed to vent before I go to bed. #Duval Yes I'm Going to copy and paste this on another post lol so hush

John Brent BurdickLast week they beat the Super Bowl Champs and they were really trying to win, especially in the first two quarters. But do you think New England was really trying? I don't because they had a ton of starters out and did not even play Tom Brady. This week the Jags had a lot of defensive starters out and Tampa Bay was full strength and really trying to win In the first two quarters and let's face it, they are a predicted contender and a better team right now than The Jaguars. Bortles did play poorly and they had trouble running because they were up against an outstanding defensive line. It is hard to tell in pre-season games if they are calling plays that play to their strengths or not all the time. I think they held back some tonight on the running game to put more pressure on each quarterback in order I see how they would handle it. Bortles did not handle it well. And I agree that the kicker is not very good. Game three in pre-season is when most teams really try to put together at least two quarters of solid team football with all the starters. We will see next week.

Ive said it 1000 times I'll say it a 1000 more. The Jags have not pursued any super stars or real leaders in a very long time. Hell they even passed up on a friend(WR) of mines from Jville that ran a 4.26 while he was sick. He played with the Jags preason and the Rams a few years ago. Known for his elusiveness on the field...hops and hands. Didnt even throw it his way. A shame. You got to draft players with heart thats playing for the love of the game. Daniel KlotzOur problems have always been offensive line. After 4 years of getting beat up you see the results a QB with no confidence. Henne will play a couple of games and after getting repeatedly sacked he will too start to play like crap. At least Allen can run for his life.

Chuck BridgemanJags will be a run offense team. Bortles just needs to hand the ball off and toss 5 yard routes. 3 yards and a cloud of dust! Bortles will be fine. You heard it hear first πŸ™‚

Andrew WorkA veteran should look good against 2nd string and practice squad players. That does not mean he will be good when the Texans D is staring him down

Joshua MinchewBlake Bortles is such a generous guy. He's out there sharing passes with his receivers AND the Bucs Defense. I hope he carries that generosity into the game tomorrow night πŸ™‚

Timothy SmithLets just wait and see what he does in crunch time. Just give bortels one more chance, that's all. He knows what he has to do and knows its his last chance. And players make plays so he will either do it or wont

Andrew WorkYes let's start the guy who hasn't been able to beat out bortles for a job for the last few years. Also a GREAT option
