Now the world can see why his Clemson family loves him so much - championship or not. The world can also see why Clemson fans were surprised he didn't win the Heisman because of what he does off the field too. We love you Deshaun! Good luck to the Texans!

Mark BaileyHabitat for Humanity is only part of a great story. Former FSU, and NFL player Warrick Dunn and his 2 charities, Warrick Dunn Charities and Home for the Holidays we're a large part of providing a home for Deshaun Watson's family. Warrick Dunn played football at FSU and in the NFL for Tampa Bay and Atlanta. He started his charities to provide homes for single mothers in honor of his own Mother who was a police officer that was murdered while working a security job.

Christy Meadows SmithWatching this made me cry...when he was at Clemson he and his teammates would get out and help build Habitat homes and now that he’s gone to Houston he’s still paying it forward. To be an eleven year old boy and impacted so much by receiving a Habitat home that today at 22 he still provides community service or helps out in some way says a lot about the man he has become. Doesn’t matter if he played another day of football the heart he has is very big and he’s a difference maker off the field as well as on the field. Much love DWAT

Janet JacksonHabitat for Humanity doesn't "give" anyone a home. The homeowners put in a lot of hours of sweat equity. They face more scrutiny in getting a mortgage than anyone else. Don't sell DeShaun Watson's mom short. Habitat gave her the opportunity to own a home. She worked for it.

David BlossHabitat for Humanity doesn't "give" homes away. They sell them for less than the cost of the materials used to build them. The buyers have to put in sweat equity of some sort and/or provide lunches for the build volunteers. The houses are financed over a long period of time at no interest. Buyers are responsible for paying for insurance, taxes, & utilities. That being said ... the Texans (and Houstonians in general) are GOOD PEOPLE! I've volunteered at HfH builds many times, but usually end up teaching kids (who are doing it for community service credits for honor societies) how to drive nails. "Hit the big flat end, not the pointy end or your thumb!"

Stephanie Welter MurphyI'm guessing this comment will get buried, but just wanted to reiterate what others have said...Habitat doesn't give homes away. Deshaun's mom would have been required to put in both sweat equity and pay an affordable mortgage for their Habitat home, which I think makes it even more special! As a huge Tigers fan & Habitat employee, I want to give Deshaun a huge thanks for all he's doing to give back!
