I have been a Lions fan my entire life! I do not see any comments from Lions fans. I see negative comments from pessimistic losers! The old man died! Martha wants to win for the fans! It might not be in the Stafford era but the Lions will win a super bowl! It is inevitable. Quit following the Lions go cheer for the Patriots or Eagles. They are doing enough currently for you fair weather fans...4 days ago · 11
That’s a terrible statement - above honor and integrity. Winning at all costs leads to videogate, deflate gate, bounty program, performance enhancing drugs, injuries and a poor example to set for little league teams.4 days ago
Right...like we have ever won anything since the inception of.the Superbowl...and are one of four teams that have never been to a Superbowl tell me.how that is gonna change when we over pay for average players and the best players we have had retire early just to get away from this poorly run organization4 days ago

Where Charles rogers? Or Mike Williams? Or Charlie batch? Or javid best? Or Gosder Cherilus? Or joey Harrington? Or Eric ebron? Or Brendan pettigrew? Or stockar mcdougle? Now those guys were killer 1st round draft picks4 days ago · 6

I'm not. Your big free agent splash an aging running back.. while Aaron Rodgers is still playing and Minnesota has made a plethera of moves to add to their already great roster..well..Detroit..see ya in the cellar! Maybe 3rd place if u work real hard.6 days ago · 11
So tired tired of the negative coming from the fans before the season even starts. Give the new coach and system a chance before knocking them. Fords have finally hired people that they are allowing to do their jobs. They are finally building a team. Instead of building one player up to beat up and break down. Go lions.6 days ago · 134
Eagles fan here (wife is a Lions fan). You’re getting a hell of a back that I wanted us to re-sign. He’s way more than just a short yardage guy and he brings a hard working mentality. Good luck Blount/Lions!6 days ago · 32
Ameer or Theo are going to be on the chopping block – probably Ameer. They will draft a running back in the first two rounds. Blount is a great signing and will provide much-needed experience this year.6 days ago · 51
Calvin Johnson needs to come out of retirement for 1 year! 🙏 And get this trophy with his boys!..Calvin Johnson, golden tate, Marvin Jones,Blount, golladay, and a good tight end would be a lethal offense.6 days ago · 2
It’s a solid move to help bolster a terrible running game. Do you remember how awful we were in the red zone running the ball? It’s also safe move financially because it’s only for one year. Overall they haven’t done that bad in free agency.6 days ago · 26
Glad to see we went with Blount he's a monster on short yardage and that's what we need....glad to see you in Detroit my good friend....forget all the haters and trolls nobody listens to them anyway. Let's go get a ring for Detroit now they deserve it. Let's go Lions!! Great work so far Matty P. Glad to see your reunited with your buddy from New England...now let's get a ring sir in Detroit this city needs a uplifting and we have been patiently waiting for one. LETS GO!!#DEFENDTHEDEN6 days ago · 25
Cut Abdullah and get aggressive in the draft. If you find the right one then this yearly frustration will be done (for at least 5 years). This isn’t a great draft for D line. Snag a running back early. Blount, Theo, ZZ and the rookie.6 days ago · 10
People need to relax. He’s a great pick up for our short yardage and goal line situations. He’s NOT gonna be our every down back. Half u people think that just because we sign a free agent that they are our new starter. Not be case. He fills a much needed roll. Imagine how different that Steelers game would have been last year if he was on the roster.6 days ago · 1
Angry face fan : "God this team sucks, same old Lions. Why don't they do something to make it better." Lions: "Ok we'll fire the coach you don't like, and hire one of this year's most universally well regarded coaching candidates from a historically successful franchise. Then we'll cut a bunch of players that you don't like, that are kind of one dimensional, then we'll sign this running back that's had really great success even though he's older. I mean the coach AND the running back have won Super Bowls and everything! We're gonna let the new coach and GM build the team they want and see how it goes!" Angry face Lions fan : "Same old Lions! They fire the only decent, semi successful coach they've had in almost twenty years! I mean I know we never beat any winning teams but at least we got close to making the playoffs! Stupid Lions!"6 days ago · 1
All these self proclaimed NFL gurus should take a step back and realize he will be used in short yardage, goal line and end of the game situations! He is not the answer to the running game problems here in Detroit, more of a quick fix 1-2 years. If we get the chance to get a big back we will in the draft. We need help on the D Line and Linebackers. Like the signing for this year. Let coach P and Quinn do their job.6 days ago · 2
It’s about time Quinn made a move- This team is worse than it was before Free Agency! All he’s done is create holes while signing half-assed linebackers. I’ve been a Quinn fan all along, but right now I’m having doubts. Better sign Luke Willson. Drafting another TE is unacceptable at this point, too many holes to fill7 days ago · 65
you people crack me up, Quinn is not going to sign big name big money free agents, the Pats never did, why would Quinn. its all about depth, scheme and solid players at every position with solid depth players to back them up. now lets see Patricia install the scheme and watch the system go.....6 days ago · 43
Every post you "fans" have hated all the signings saying make a splash play.. we do that in getting blount who is a decent bruiser back for a decent cost and you whine about how others got better and how we suck? When the Lions go Up we'll see what youre saying then7 days ago · 28
Unfortunately he will prove that the issue all along has been the offensive line and not the running back’s. I don’t see blunt making it past 8 weeks without coming up with some sort of injury excuse so he can squeeze out another year somewhere else.7 days ago · 2
Blount is a tough down hill runner. But can he run behind Detroit’s anemic O-Line? Watch teams with good running attacks, their O-Line pushes forward...Detroit’s get pushed back or stalemated when ball is snapped. Hopefully, he can get the tough yards....7 days ago · 4
I actually think the Lion's FA is better than all of the North's division rivals...yeah they got the big names, but what we're doing is making the roster's lineup good throughout...which will be better. You can bet Davis, galloday, decker, and some of the younger guys will improve more this up coming season. If we have a good to great defense, with Stafford the Lions have a chance.7 days ago · 10
in Quinn we trust... before Quinn they never had back to back 9 win seasons... it takes time to build a champion... looks at eagles.. it took the right moves and they got there ... Lions are close ... next year maybe they will spend money on big name free agents... just relax... Rome wasn't built in a day7 days ago · 10
One of the worst things about Lions fans is that most are so starved for winning that they lose perspective of everything. Even after they realize they were wrong they fall for the same trap over and over. This signing is jus OK. It is not great. Blount is on the downside of his career. Just because he was on a team that won the SB does not mean we will. He was not a major contributor last year. Other than '16, he has been a very average RB. When will Detroit stop signing RBs on the downside of their carreer? Stop getting over excited about everything. This franchise needs to build up from the bottom. We refuse to do it. Enough already! There will be many very disappointed and confused fans at the end of the year when we yet again fail to reach that next step. Winning a playoff game!7 days ago · 2
You guys have a great team player! I hope he has a great year for you guys. Last year he help give a Super Bowl to people like my father, and because of that I’ll always be a fan of his. It also helps when he goes to my second favorite nfl team! As he helped us get one I hope he helps you get one!7 days ago · 5
The facts are that the B1G money Free Agents historically don't pan out. The NFL GM's are "tossing around cash like a bunch of drunks in a casino riding a hot streak". I like Quinn sitting back and making smart bets as opposed to the opposite. www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/3/16/11192926/2016-nfl-free-agency-largest-deals-history-results-mike-w...6 days ago · 3
